"Invitation to a Sunny Dinner" invites readers to a restaurant run by four small girls living in the same apartment complex. It is an invitation to my childhood past, in which my friends and I would cook under a large pine tree, gathering pansies and shrubs to create a magical meal.
The poem encircling the tree guides the reader to the location of the restaurant.
